FALL 2007 DROP-IN CLASSES

Beginners’ Yoga Classes

Re-align Your Chakras! Students will learn and practice asanas (postures) to enhance their breathing, flexibility, and creativity. Yoga may also help decrease stress and maintain health. Practitioners believe that yoga improves health by improving how you see the world, which calms the spirit and decreases stress. Yoga classes are offered year-round.

Wednesday Yoga Access Pass: 8 classes for $50.00

Payment for drop-in yoga classes must be paid in cash prior to the start of the class an individual is attending. In case of inclement weather, the Center observes Baltimore City Public Schools closures.

Basic Legal Skills for Maryland Residents

Learn How the Law Affects You! Students in these classes will receive basic legal education on a variety of events that individuals experience throughout their lifetime. Some classes will provide information that pertains to the GLBT community. All topics are specific to Maryland. Instructor: Constandin Alivizatos, Esq.

FALL 2007 COURSES

Registration for the following courses will be accepted up until 7 days prior to the first day of each course. Early registration is strongly recommended as class sizes are limited. Request for refunds will be accepted up until 7 days prior to the first day of each course and must be made in writing. Cancellation of a course may be decided based upon the number of registrants. If a course is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded in full. In case of inclement weather, classes will be cancelled when Baltimore City Public Schools are closed.

Beginners' Acoustic Guitar

Unleash Your Inner Rock Star! Students in this course will learn how to care for their guitar, read standard modern guitar music, how to play standard chords and scales, and other basic guitar techniques. Students must bring their own guitar.

Introduction to American Sign Language
